Laura Hart has worked with Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia (HSNS) as an Audiologist in the Bridgewater area since graduating from Dalhousie in 2015. She has a general caseload of adults and paediatrics which give her the opportunity to practice in a wide variety of areas. She also had the opportunity to contribute to HSNS through internal committee work in various settings such as occupational health and safety, quality improvement, working on clinical standards and strategic planning. This work, in combination with her clinical practice, has deepened Laura’s appreciation for audiology and has taught her valuable communication, leadership, and quality improvement skills.

Laura’s key interests are in the area of occupational health, safety (in every sense of the word for staff, clients, and families) and in patient and family-centred care. She strongly believes that healthcare is not something that should happen to you but with you.
